A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Financial Analyst at Trench Canada Coils, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of Finance functions within the manufacturing environment. Working independently and alongside a dynamic team, you will engage in challenging projects that will drive positive change in the company.Β 

Objectives of this Role:

  • Deliver comprehensive financial insights to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
  • Guide financial decision-making by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic conditions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust financial controls and guidelines.
  • Meet budgeting objectives through effective scheduling, analysis, and corrective measures.

Your Tasks:

  • Ensure internal safeguards for revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets, as well as actual expenditures.
  • Manage the month-end close process, tasks such as creating accruals, posting JE's and the preparation of balance sheet and P&L working papers.
  • Collaborate with the controlling team to establish financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a biweekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Implement cost control measures and optimize financial processes to enhance overall efficiency and profitability.
  • Play a significant role in the formulation of company budgets, ensuring that expenses align with projected revenue.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to optimize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and financial software systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and departments.
