Welder/Fitter

Job summary:

This position primarily fits and welds various assemblies that are either typical or custom parts.

Supervisory responsibilities:

• None

Duties/responsibilities:

• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products;
• Install and repair various equipment and components;
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications;
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications;
• Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance;
• Follow SOP for machine setup and weld expectations;
• Operate overhead crane with chains, hooks, straps, or other lifting devices in a safe manner;
• Occasional climbing or crawling on various structures;
• Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, and tidy.
