    Work Schedule: 

      

    240-day contract. Hours are typically 7:30-4:00 daily with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. However, the daily schedule may vary depending on the needs of the district.  

      

     

                          

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Perform clerical and administrative functions in the school district warehouse such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, completing inventories, interacting by telephone and in person with school personnel, and other tasks and responsibilities applicable to the public school warehouse environment.

    • 

    Assist in the management of all school district warehouse operations.  

    • 

    Maintain accurate warehouse inventories and ensure accountability for warehouse equipment/products.  

    • 

    Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.  

    • 

    Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.  

    • 

    Compose letters or other correspondence using correct grammar, word usage, spelling, and punctuation.  

    • 

    Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, or reports, such as presentations or expense, statistical, or monthly reports.  

    • 

    Create, maintain, and enter information into databases.  

    • 

    Operate and ensure the maintenance of office equipment.  

    • 

    Greet visitors and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.  

    • 

    Complete forms in accordance with District, federal, or state procedures.  

    • 

    Make copies of correspondence or other printed material.  

    • 

    Conduct searches to find needed information, using such sources as the Internet.  

    • 

    Maintain inventory of supplies and deliver supplies to custodians.  

    • 

    Maintain log of all incoming packages (UPS, Fed Ex, etc.).  

    • 

    Order inventory for stock.  

    • 

    Repair small appliances (vacuums, scrubbers, etc.).  

    • 

    Operate forklift.   

    • 

    Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.  

    • 

    Report to the proper authorities any cases of suspected child endangerment, neglect, or abuse.  

    • 

    Report suspected bullying to building principal or designee as required by Arkansas law and district policies.  

    • 

    Adhere to all policies of the District.  

    • 

    Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or Assistant Maintenance Director - Maintenance.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

                          

    Education:

                         

    High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required 

                          

    Experience:

                         

    Secretarial experience preferred. Experience in a warehouse setting preferred. 

                          

    Computer Skills:

    Shall be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of proficiency with computers and programs associated with the position.
