Position description

This position will support the Insight & Strategic Product Development team within Global Product and will be an ideal position for somebody who wishes to get broad exposure to Global Product whilst working on very specific projects. The role will include analysis of both T. Rowe Price and industry data to support decision making and will entail working on a wide variety of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts a wide variety of research including on industry, market, competitor and pricing trends using internal as well as external databases and resources to benchmark and report on product strategy, management, development, and positioning

  • Compiles analysis for both strategic and ad-hoc industry, competitor and client projects, in close collaboration with more senior members of the team

  • Contributes to the development of strategic plans, commercial metrics and product health checks across asset classes at product, strategy and vehicle level

  • Assists in creating high-quality, visually compelling presentations in PowerPoint  

  • Conducts competitive, market, and/or financial analyses to gain breadth/depth of knowledge in relevant products, markets, regulatory/operational environments, and vehicles

  • Collaborates with product teams to assess existing firm offerings in the marketplace

  • Acts as point of contact for internal inquiries

  • Provides high-level assistance and coverage to senior product managers and serves as their backup as needed.

  • Supports Global Product processes as required

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial analysis. Prior exposure to product strategy or market research is a plus.  

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with databases - ability to aggregate and transform data into clear, actionable insights. Programming languages a plus

  • Hands-on experience with industry tools such as Broadridge, Morningstar, or eVestment for competitive analysis and market research. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Powerbi, Tableau) is a plus.

  • Ability to translate insights into polished PowerPoint presentations  

  • Analytical with great attention to detail

  • Bachelor's degree (economics, finance, mathematics preferred)
