    Job Summary:  
    • Broad background, extensive knowledge, and practical application of principals, practices, methods, and strategies applicable to preschool students with disabilities.

    • Strong assessment skills appropriate for preschool-disabled students.

    • Ability to organize, prioritize and deliver a variety of instructional strategies aligned to the District's preschool curriculum.
    • Proven ability to manage a self-contained preschool classroom (ages 3-5).

    • Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify individualized academic and functional discrete trial programs corresponding to IEP goals and objectives.

    • Collect, analyze, and oversee student data for progress monitoring purposes.

    • Oversee all classroom functions, including training of Paraprofessionals to deliver high-quality instruction.

    • Experience with implementing behavior reduction goals and individualized student treatment plans in collaboration with Child Study Team, behaviorist, families, and support staff, preferred.

    • Knowledge of augmentative communication devices including but not limited to ASL, modified sign language, PECS, and total systems of communication to assist student with expanding language repertoire is preferred.

    • Ability to collaborate with administrators, CST members, related service providers, and district behaviorists to provide optimal student learning opportunities.

    Qualifications:   
    • Valid NJ Teacher of Student with Disabilities certification required.
    • Valid NJ Preschool through Grade 3 or Elementary certification required.
    • Knowledge of Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards.
    • Commitment to active learning and individualized instruction.
