The West Coast Eagles is an iconic Australian sporting brand with over 100,000 members. The Club formed in August 1986, playing its first official match for premiership points in 1987. Our women’s side played its first game for AFLW premiership points in February 2020. Since then, the club has enjoyed significant success, winning premierships in 1992, 1994, 2006 and 2018. The club also has wide-spanning community and regional programs and is invested in a number of charity organisations, including the Waalitj Foundation.

About the role

The Club has a 12-month contract opportunity for a vibrant Premium Sales Account Manager to join the Premium Sales team.

This position will provide sales support to the Premium Sales Manager and team in maximising all traditional forms of hospitality income and special projects and have a major focus in sourcing corporate/premium clients in line with the marketing strategic plan.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Drive new sales of the club’s traditional income streams including Private Suites, Open Air Boxes and function rooms at Optus Stadium.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with premium member accounts & client base.
  • Identify opportunities to generate new sales/business via LinkedIn, direct email or other avenues
  • Drive sales of the club’s Toyota AFL Grand Final tickets, Charter program, and West Coast Connect program
  • Provide sales support of the clubs various advertising media.
  • Drive sales of the club’s all-content Private Suite at the MCG.
  • Provide support to the Premium Sales Manager in acquiring additional revenue through new business initiatives.

Due to the nature of the industry and this role, there is an inherent requirement to work home match days and other club events which will include working some evenings and weekends.

This role will suit an enthusiastic individual, that values teamwork and collaboration, possesses strong communication skills and can build robust and effective working relationships.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Proven sales experience.
  • Business to Business sales experience highly regarded.
  • Strong phone and email manner and ability to convert sales over the phone (verbally) and/or in writing (via email).
  • Advanced work processing skills, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
