iOS Software Engineer - Kansas City Metro

Examinetics is hiring a iOS Software Engineer to join our expanding team! This full time role is based in office M-F at our Overland Park location and we are open to candidates who live either in the Kansas City Metro or are willing and able to relocate.

This role is designed for a highly skilled iOS Developer specializing in Swift who will serve as the sole iOS expert on our team. You will be responsible for leading the full lifecycle of mobile application development—from initial concept and design through development, testing, and deployment. Beyond maintaining existing applications, you will have the opportunity to build innovative new apps, including both internal business tools and customer-facing products that drive our future offerings. This position requires strong expertise in Bluetooth technologies, multithreaded programming, and interactive apps using audio and video, as well as a passion for creating high-quality, user-centric mobile solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance existing iOS applications with a strong focus on Bluetooth audio streaming and BLE communication.
• Develop new applications and features following an Agile methodology, including participation in daily standups, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
• Integrate and support third-party libraries that perform critical sound analysis.
• Ensure robust API integration for seamless data exchange.
• Optimize and troubleshoot multithreaded code to deliver a smooth user experience.
• Compile and distribute App Store and Enterprise iOS applications.
• Work with Product Management to analyze requirements.

Job Requirements:

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in computer science or related field
• 2+ years extensive experience in iOS development using Swift.
• Proven expertise with Bluetooth Classic (A2DP/HFP) and BLE communication.
• Experience interfacing mobile applications with external hardware. 
• Demonstrated experience with multithreading and performance optimization. 
• Demonstrated experience with familiarity with Protobuf or similar serialization tool. 
• Strong skills in RESTful API integration and state management. 
• Experience with Enterprise Developer account and IPA files.

• Ability to learn new skills, technology or frameworks as required to help the team or other business units accomplish their goals.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment where frequent demos for users and stakeholders provide essential feedback for development.
