Financial Analyst

Role Description/Summary

This position is responsible for analyzing raw data and making creative systems/models that provide context and clarity. This position is highly involved in providing projections associated with profits, flock sizes, market trends, expansion, and other company decisions.

Essential Job Functions 

1. Analyze data and trends in order to develop forecast models for Sr. Leaders to use in organizational decision making and business improvement plans.
2. Assist CFO and Senior leadership in profit optimization and cost reduction strategies.
3. Assist the CFO and Executive Vice President with customer rebids and ongoing profitability of current customers.
4. Work directly with the CFO and Controller on various planning exercises, such as forecasting, budgets, profitability analysis, and reporting.
5. Monitor organizational performance by comparing datasets with projections.
6. Develop and maintain confidential, protected databases to monitor business performance, and provide managers with insights into risks and opportunities.
7. Conduct Investigative analyses per request and direction of the CFO and Senior Leadership.
8. Coordinate cost tracking for expansion and rebuild projects.
9. Build and maintain profit and loss Dashboard.
10. Build Pro Formas for new business opportunities at the direction of the CFO.
11. Build and maintain the Opal projection dashboard.
12. Build and maintain the Opal projection dashboard.

Required Qualifications 

1. 4-year college degree, preferably in finance or related field.
2. Previous experience in finance or data analysis.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of statistical analysis processes.
4. Demonstrated advanced experience and knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
5. Demonstrated advanced proficiency in mathematics and data analysis.
6. Previous experience with DAX and Power BI.
7. Previous experience working within an ERP system.

Preferred Qualifications 

1. Master’s degree in finance or related field.
2. Exposure to SQL (Structured Query language).
3. Experience in financial forecasting and trend analytics.
