Financial Analyst

Summary/Objective: The Financial Analyst will support the group in providing financial insight and analytics around business performance, growth, productivity, and profit improvement, in addition to ad hoc analysis. The Financial Analyst will also support monthly reporting, forecast, and budget planning activities.

Essential Functions: 

• Assist FP&A Manager and Practice Managers in analysis of revenue and expense by department and facility to identify trends and/or deviations from budgets.
• Assist FP&A Manager with month end close and processes.
• Assist with annual budget assimilation and monthly explanations.
• Monitor drivers of business performance, and proactively analyze complex data sets to identify trends and deliver actionable insights to decision-makers
• Build high-impact models and dashboards that empower operational and exploratory analysis
• Develop and maintain protocols to evaluate data quality to ensure accurate reporting
• Prepare ad hoc reports and calculations as needed periodically to assist in management reporting

• This position works remotely; work site attendance may be required from time to time in accordance with business conditions.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in finance or a field that emphasizes data analysis and visualization (e.g., computer science, social sciences, physical sciences, math, engineering, or statistics), or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years of work-related experience in the field of Finance, Accounting, Planning & Analysis (finance or operations related)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated project and people management skills
• Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
• Ability to process and analyze data sets, interpreting them for making business decisions
• Experience with data management, specifically with validating and auditing data and reports from multiple systems
• Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
• Knowledge of finance, operations and KPIs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Proficiency in Power BI is preferred
