Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

The role of Account Manager is responsible for strategic Solution-based sales and to hunt for new strategic accounts to meet business targets. The candidate should show aggressiveness in developing new customers, and to build up customer pipelines, in order to achieve sales target.

 

The candidate is required to perform effective cold calls, and conduct demos and presentations, in order to close sales, maintaining and developing relationship with existing customers, making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with timely and accurate quotations, feeding future buying trends, customer comments and good enhancements back to Business Unit Manager & Research Manager.

 

The purpose of this position is to further develop existing business and executive level client relationships, cultivate new relationships, and align with IT and Business Groups to uncover new opportunities, develop solutions and sell strategic services in the targeted industry.

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • This role requires at least 3 years & above sales experience with good sales track record or related discipline.
  • Must be able to manage, lead and influence others outside of their department/functional area as such.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Diploma & above
  • Excellent communication skills, polished and professional.
  • Able to effectively work on multiple projects at a time.
  • Must be able to identify short and long term goals to achieve overall team/company objectives.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • The preferred candidate must have demonstrated in previous roles: strong leadership skills, an ability to operate in positions requiring significant self-direction and motivation, and a proven track record in consultative selling solutions. In addition to broad knowledge and expertise in the industry
  • Demonstrates the business acumen in ability to identify cross-sell and referral opportunities to other business units, business applications and specialised solution.
  • Understands effective negotiation techniques and seeks to apply them in most situations. Is focused on achieving mutually beneficial, "win-win" results and is alert to customer buying signals and identifies and acts on closing opportunities.
  • Work in a multi-cultural and dynamic environment with a proven ability to balance competing demands and priorities as well as operate independently while building a successful sales pipeline/channel
  • Must have proven track record of exceeding annual revenue plan.
