The Warehouse Manager is a leadership position in Sojo’s facility operations and plays a critical role in the shipping/receiving, infrastructure maintenance, and safety / quality certification areas. This position will oversee the execution of shipping/receiving to support our trucker stakeholders, accurate and timely input of TMS and WMS transactions, facilities management, warehouse asset maintenance, training, quality certifications, and safety of all employees at the assigned plant.  The Warehouse Manager reports to the Regional Plant Director.
Responsibilities

  • Manage all ship/receive functions, including:
    • Manage dock appointments and maintain scheduling of Customer appointments through Sojo’s Transportation Management System (TMS)
    • Coordinate with Capacity Planner and Commercial Team for dock appointment priorities and exceptions
    • Ensure all shipping clerks and supervisors are performing accurate driver checks, following SOPs and Safety procedures (wheel chocking, airline locking, trailer inspections, etc.)
    • Timely and accurate Input all Purchase Orders and Bills of Lading into NetSuite as soon as inbound trucks are unloaded and physically verified
    • Enforce Automated Bill of Lading process with each outbound shipment transaction
    • Inspect all receipts and deliveries for damages and verify case quantities and lot/EXP dates
    • Upload all physical inbound/outbound BOL’s to corresponding NetSuite Purchase Orders/Sales Orders
  • Develops warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Schedule and manage (coach, train and develop) forklift operators for optimal operating/cost efficiencies and safe operations
  • Facilities Maintenance, including:
    • Warehouse support assets are functional and well-maintained, including but not limited to forklifts, balers, dock equipment, etc.
    • Facilities infrastructure maintenance and repair (including production, warehouse, breakroom, and office areas)
    • Ensuring the warehouse is neat and orderly at all times and coaching team members to maintain that level of detail
  • Become Subject Matter Expert for Quality, Certifications, and Regulations at the facility level:
    • SQF On-site certified;  be certified and serve as site’s SQF Practitioner
    • Be certified and serve as site’s HACCP team leader
    • Point of contact for all other certification body visits (Organic, Kosher, etc)
    • OSHA regulations and forklift driver certifications
  • Manage, train, and develop staff on key shipping/receiving WMS transactions
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Regional Plant Director
