Senior Commercial Account Manager - (IN OFFICE ROLE - NOT HYBRID) (EDMONTON BASED)

As a Senior Commercial Account Manager, you will play a key leadership and project management role. In cases where the complexity or scale of a client account does not necessitate an Internal Account Executive, you will assume broader responsibilities while fulfilling the duties of a Commercial Account Manager.
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance
Level Two Alberta General Insurance License
Ideally holds a CRM, CIP, and/or CAIB designation
Lead pre-renewal activities, client updates, marketing initiatives, and renewal presentations
Assess clients’ commercial insurance needs by reviewing current coverage and exposures
Prepare and present marketing submissions, negotiate terms with underwriters, and issue binding instructions
Manage account documentation, including quotes, endorsements, and statements of values
Develop, prepare, and participate in client presentations
Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to existing clients
Work closely with both External and Internal Commercial Account Executives
Build and maintain proactive, positive relationships with underwriters
Collaborate with billing and processing teams to ensure accurate and timely account management
Ensure agency bill accounts are collected and mitigate potential bad debts
Proactively identify risks associated with account retention and take preventative action
Mentor, coach, and supervise Client Service Representatives and Commercial Account Technicians
Contribute to a transparent, inclusive, and achievement-oriented team culture
Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs
Assist in the development of in-house training initiatives and best practices
