Candidates must be a Certified Teacher
You must wait 90 days after your retirement date to apply or work in the district.

Steps to become a substitute teacher.
- After completing your application, contact Tammie Collins at 502-869-8070 to let her know you have applied. Tammie.Collins@Bulllitt.kyschools.us
- Send/email your Daily Wage Letter from KTRS
- You will need to complete the State Mandated CAN (Child Abuse & Neglect) check yourself ($10.00 Fee)
- If you have been retired less than 1 year, you need to complete a Reemployment Certification Form for Teachers' Retirement System
- You will complete the rest of your rehire paper work through TalentRecords.
**If your retirement from Bullitt County Public Schools is less than 1 year you will not be required to get a background check or physical!
