CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: |
CHILD DEVELOPMENT PERMIT: Must possess a valid/active CA Associate Teacher Permit (or higher-level permit) issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). |
- AND- |
EDUCATION: Must be currently enrolled in an Associate degree program in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. |
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION (Must be attached): |
A copy of the required valid/active CA Child Development Associate Teacher Permit (or higher-level permit) AND current Educational Plan and transcripts showing the courses needed to complete the Associate Degree program as indicated above. |

If you already possess a Child Development Teacher Permit and a completed degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, please apply at TEACHER II as you will not be considered for the waiver program. |
Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.
