Mefford Construction is actively seeking a seasoned and driven Project Manager to oversee and execute high-profile commercial construction projects from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Manage projects from preconstruction through client turnover
- Develop and execute detailed project schedules and work plans
- Oversee procurement, submittals, RFIs, and subcontractor coordination
- Leadership & Communication
- Lead and mentor field teams, Assistant PMs, and support staff
- Act as primary liaison for clients, architects, and engineers
- Resolve conflicts and communicate proactively with all project stakeholders
- Budget & Cost Control
- Develop, monitor, and manage detailed project budgets
- Approve subcontractor pay applications and vendor invoices
- Negotiate change orders and maintain cost tracking integrity
- Quality & Risk Management
- Ensure all work meets specifications, code, and quality standards
- Promote jobsite safety culture and partner with safety teams
- Identify and mitigate project risks to maintain schedule and profitability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5-7+ years' experience managing commercial construction projects ($1M-$50M+)
- Proficiency with construction management software
- Strong knowledge of AIA contracts, scheduling, and cost tracking
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills

Schedule
- Full-Time | Monday to Friday
- Occasional extended hours depending on project demands
