Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). We are committed to caring for our patients with purpose and integrity and providing our team members with the support they need. We are looking for a full-time Pharmacy Technician (PT).
Our Pharmacy Technicians (PTs) prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. They count, measure, mix, label, and record quantities, amounts, and dosages of medications according to prescription orders. The PT provides customer service both in-person and over the phone. This includes helping patients with our Patient Assistance Program and assisting with Prior Authorization request processing for our clinics.
The Inventory Specialist orders all medications from the pharmacy wholesaler to maintain sufficient stock to fill anticipated prescriptions each day. Maintain invoices and upload daily EDI files in order to keep an accurate balance on hand for all medications. Manage out of stock queue in pharmacy software, and segregate select special order medications prior to pick up. Conduct daily cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory, and monitor medication stock to ensure out of date medications are removed. Return all unused medications to pharmacy wholesaler in a timely manner to obtain maximum reimbursement.
