Jr. Art Director

Job Description / Position Summary: 

As a Junior Art Director you are an important hub for creative concepts and communication for our in-house Agency team that services multiple brands under the Onward Brands portfolio – Incipio, Incase, Griffin, Survivor, plus licensed brands kate spade new york and Coach. As a member of our team, your role will be to engage in strategic creative and conceptual leadership and art direction for all brands. As Junior Art Director, you will align with brand and campaign goals, working closely with Marketing leadership to set high level direction, then direct members of the graphic design team to design per brand guidelines and campaign standards. In addition, you will work with your manager to ensure quality work, and that deadlines are consistently met. You will support art direction across multiple disciplines, including go-to-market campaigns, packaging, in store support/POP features, u/x design, planograms and branded presentations.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Art Direction and design in-line with high-level brand goals across various formats: go-to-market campaigns, global sites, marketing, social media, presentations, and retail assets for branded campaigns.
2. Conceptual leadership and team collaboration and management for creative campaigns, brand styling and projects. 
3. Direct concepts for campaigns and brands with a keen eye for market trends, engaging creative, dynamic storytelling and concise communications.
4. Consistently enforce brand and style guidelines across all creative.
5. Hands on creative leadership for presentations, renderings, photoshoot, case mockups, and packaging design.
6. Manage and organize a large quantity of projects and assets.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from 4-Year University or trade school equivalent
2. 3+ years of experience working in agency or in-house environment.
3. Layout experience required.
4. Background knowledge in principles of design (i.e. typography, color, balance, composition, and current design trends.)
5. Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Knowledge of motion design a plus.
6. Design skills including comprehensive knowledge of press and packaging treatments and procedures.
7. Knowledge of RGB, CMYK, and PANTONE colors.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and under tight deadlines.
9. Strong attention to detail.
10. Able to give direction, present concepts, and execute accordingly.
