Position Summary

**WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION FROM ALL STUDENTS REGARDLESS OF WORK STUDY AWARD**

Under limited supervision, conducts inventories of chemicals used in laboratories, studios, and makerspaces. Uploads the inventory to UNM's web-based chemical inventory management system.

The job includes, but is not limited to:

  • Data entry
  • Weekly check-in meetings
  • Scheduling and conducting on-site visits
  • Assist staff in the warehouse with waste inventory
  • Barcoding and entering new chemicals into the web-based system
  • Other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:

  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Experience with Excel and data entry
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Student in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or other STEM-related field is preferred but not required
