We are looking for an experienced CODE or CODED WELDER. A code welder is a skilled professional who performs welding operations and joins metal parts using various welding techniques and equipment. You will be responsible for cutting, fitting and welding metal materials according to company standards. Duties include-
Perform welding tasks on various metal components according to welding codes and blueprints (e.g., AWS, ASME, or other industry-specific standards).
Ensures that all equipment is maintained and in good working order.
Efficiently and accurately operates welding equipment and related tools necessary for manufacturing and production.
Required to read prints and drawings accurately and follow all work instructions.
Examines work pieces for defects and measure work piece with straightedge or template to ensure conformance with specifications.
Dismantles metal assemblies or cuts scrap metal, using thermal-cutting equipment such as flame-cutting torch or plasma-arc equipment.
Connects hoses from torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas and turns valves to release mixture.
Climbs ladders or works on scaffolds.
Reports any discrepancies and safety related issues to the shop foreman.
Performs any task, assignment, or project assigned by shop foreman with expeditiousness and accuracy to accommodate production flow.
Must inspect and repair all defects and discontinuities before a Quality Control Inspector is called.
Make repairs
Operates forklift, man lift, and scissor lift.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), welding helmets, gloves, and safety gear.
Assists in training new welders and provides guidance on welding procedures and techniques as needed.
